Hello! My name is Nancy and I am from St. John's, Newfoundland. I am the second oldest of 5 children, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. I have been the camp director of a small camp here on the rock for almost two years now.. so this summer I will obviously be out at camp :) I am really excited for what this coming year has to offer and can't wait to meet you all!

Hey Nancy! What are your hobbies?
Well Tesssa.. I would have to say my favorite hobby is winter hammocking. Snow shoe out into the woods somewhere and set up camp.. there is nothing better ;) My hammock and I go everywhere :) What about you?
that is sooo awesome....I....there are no words to explain how incredibly jealous I am... I just got a hammock tent so that a step in the right direction
Hey Jon! what kind of hammock did you just get? I made a hammock that I have used for years and love. I also have a hennessy hammock which is awesome! having a hammock is ALWAY a step in the right direction :D good on ya!
Wait....You made a hammock? Thats epic.
I agree that is very very epic....and its a hennessy I just havent figured out the best way to tie the knots yet
Yes b'y! super easy. Most of the youth in my youth group have made their own as well for when I take them on hikes. We newfies know where it's at! :P
you are going to have to teach me
...please
I never knew I would feel like such a beginner when it came to hammocks.
yeah me too I thought I was good but turns out Newfies are a bunch of hammock heroes
Hi Nancy, just thought I'd drop a little note to let you know that you sound so cool with all your camp directing and hammock making and camping :)
I think that I'd like to give winter hammock camping a try one day, sounds awesome!
EAST COAST!!! Yay, I'm from New Brunswick, and while I usually resent when people call us Newfies I'm soooo excited that there will another east-coaster here!
Wow. I'm sorry to say Nancy but my hobbies aren't nearly as interesting. I like to read, and watch Doctor Who (it's my obsession right now.) I also am decent at art and I like writing, though I procrastinate often. Oh, and I waste a lot of time with my blog... haha.
But I want to be included in the hammock-making-lesson-thing! Sounds sweet.
Oh and I applaud your manners Jon.
Yay for Newfoundland! So I'll admit...I'm from Manitoba. But my roommate in college was from New Brunswick. My quadmates (girls who lived next door) were from PEI and New Brunswick. I have a special place in my heart for the east coast. Oh and I too love hammocks, although I'm a beginner at best when it comes to knots.
Nancy, what is one thing that you see everyday but could live without?
One thing I could live without? The TV. I only have one because someone gave it to me. (and I nearly never use it) I have lived without a TV for 4 years and when I would come home to visit the fam jam I didn't even want to watch TV anyway. :)
