I know where stouffville is my future brother in law lives there. I also know of Pioneer camp because I have some cousins who go there every year.
sweet!! are your cousins campers or staff I might know them
they are campers: John and Matt Gordon. Their in grade 6 and 7 so you may not know them
No I do not but I will definitely look for them this summer
Hey Jon! What kinds of things do you like to do? Play any sports?
ummm I drum although not very well, I enjoy reading, I also enjoy driving while blasting my music and singing along in my off-pitch voice, and as for sports I swim competitively
what about you Marissa?....or anyone else
haha awesome, I love singing in the car too! Most of my friends swim competitively, I'm probably the only one who doesn't. Instead I play basketball, softball and a little soccer because I don't need to be at the pool by 4:30 am or some insane hour like that. (the whole early morning practices never really appealed to me) :)
Yeah haha I know they never really appealed to me too but Im used to it now..sadly. I used to play softball but I stopped because I was swimming so much and I have always been awful at basketball. :/ but yeah thats pretty sweet :)
So you said you like music and reading. What do you listen to? What do you read?
hmmm welll.....music im all over the place sooo I hit shuffle on my ipod and here is the first couple things that popped up (that I will admit to listening to) Up and Up - reliant K, walking far from home - Iron and Wine, Chariot-Page France, Belief - John Mayer
and as for books Ill also read anything umm recently Ive read Love Wins and the Irresistible Revolution....but I havent been reading to much fiction as of late
how about you?
Books: Wuthering Heights is my all time favourite. Always. I also recently reread the Inheritance Cycle (Book 4 comes out this November) It's a book about dragon riders in case you don't know. Perhaps you've seen a lame movie Eragon that came out some years ago.
Music: Also all over the place. Acoustic, Folk, Hardcore, Metal, Alternative, Pop, Classical. It's a wide variety but not all-encompassing if that makes sense.
What do you waste time doing?
Hmmm cant say I venture into victorian Novels..but good for you that you do....and I sure ho[e you are ordering the 4th book because I would very much like to borrow it once you are done with it...please (man I am just asking for so much already...such a mooch)
Ohhh and I waste my time doing anything that will keep me from my english work...like this is doing right now...but I would not call this time wasted
Hey Jon! We are looking forward to having you at Qwanoes. I too like Iron and Wine. One of my personal favourites is Jon Foreman.
Jon Foreman is also really sweet, and I look forward to being at Kaleo and meeting you as well. If you like Jon you would also like Brooke Fraser and sufjan stevens (if you dont already know them)
Sadly I am not planning to order the 4th book because 1. I don't own the first three and it would get lonely without its companions 2. I shouldn't be spending money on large hardcover books (because those can get expensive) 3. My friend is probably going to order it and I'll mooch it off her at Christmas time. Haha.
But I'll warn you, I'm REALLY a nerd when it comes to these books. No seriously, my friend and I sit around and discuss potential plot developments, etc. I have a number of theories if you care to know.
As for being a mooch, don't feel bad, that's what friends do, give and take.
Hey Jon, I do listen to sufjan stevens. However, I have to give credit to my husband for that...Viktor has a lot better taste in music than I do. As for Brooke Fraser I haven't listened a lot to her. I'll have to listen to more of her stuff.
FUN FACT: According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the term moocher used to mean "someone who is truant from school, specifically in order to pick black berries".
